How to measure any trampoline?

Trampolines are available in different sizes and shapes, hence, have different measuring techniques. For instance, to measure

A Round Trampoline

Here is the key, the trampoline's diameter is measured for the metal frame not by the jumping area. Make sure you are not measuring the trampoline mat of your trampoline. To measure the actual size,

1.     Start measuring from the trampoline frame of the trampoline.

2.     Drag the measuring tape to the other end of the outer metal edge of a trampoline frame size straight, and measure the frame again.

3.     Next, take another measurement of the outer metal frame but this time, perpendicular.

4.     Now, add the average of these two measurements.

This obtained figure will be the size of your trampoline. You can also repeat the procedure to cross-check the measurements.

Note: When measuring your trampoline frame, ensure that the trampoline springs are done properly and that there must not be any damage on the frame or the jumping surface. Secondly, it should not be too close to the level.

Most of the time, a round trampoline is 10 ft., 12 ft., and 14 ft. in diameter.

To measure an oval trampoline

1.     For oval trampolines, you have to measure the length of both sides starting from the outside edge to the other side and measure straight. Repeat the process to get the width by measuring on the other side similarly.

2.     Measure from one end from the outside edge to the other end and vice versa. Make sure to get 2 different measurements.

To measure a square/rectangular trampoline

For a square/rectangle trampoline,

1.     Take the measuring tape and start measuring the outer metal edge of a short size to get the depth.

2.     Next, start measuring the outer edge across the opposite side of the trampoline and perpendicular to the other side of the rectangle. In short, measure the outer edges from one side to another to get two measurements i.e. length and width.

To measure a Hexagonal/octagonal trampoline

For that or any other odd-shaped trampoline,

1.     Start measuring from the outer edges of the corners and measure them straight to the opposite corner.

2.     Through this way, measure the frame diameter again.

Use based on size
Size and Usage chart

What is the diameter 14-foot trampoline?

It could be tricky when it comes to the size of the trampolines, especially deciding between 12 ft. and 14 ft. Obviously, the trampoline which is 14 ft. is bigger and can hold more weight than the 12 ft. trampoline.

As it has a large surface space, it has an area of 130 to 170 sq. ft. this measurement can hold about 2 adults, and 5 to 6 kids for jumping at the same time. Having a large weight capacity, it weighs 400 to 500 lbs. of its own.

How much does a trampoline cost?

The price range of every trampoline varies by manufacturer, size, and style. The trampoline with a diameter of 14 to 15 ft. is the popular one and ranges between $300 to $400.

With the increase in size, there will be an increase in the price too. For instance, the round trampolines that have a larger jumping area will cost you around $900 and above. However, the rectangular trampolines, are in the range of $800 to $1500.

How to measure a safety net?

Discovering the diameter of your trampoline is necessary if you want to add a safety net or replace an existing one. By measuring from edge to edge, determine the size of your frame. Next, determine how many poles are on your trampoline. You may select the ideal safety net for your trampoline with the aid of this.

How to measure the safety pad?

You must measure your frame size across the widest area of your trampoline from the outer edge to the outer edge to get a safety pad. Find your spring size next. From hook end to hook end, gauge the spring's full length. Consider that certain safety mats have holes for the poles of the trampoline. When buying a safety pad, look for one that has the same number of holes as your trampoline poles.

What surface area is ideal for the trampoline?

Although a majority of trampolines are designed to ensure safety, you have to take care of yourself too to avoid the trampoline from moving, tripping, getting damaged, and causing injuries.

Make sure that:

·       The trampoline is placed on the flat frame underneath the frame of the trampoline

·       Ground soil should be soft but not too much to offer support.

·       There must be lights around the trampoline to enjoy the trampoline at night

·       Make sure there must not any obstacles that can cause bumps
